Precious child of light,
There is a quiet place within you where heaven brushes earth. A gentle whisper that says: Be still. You are loved. You are not alone.
This is the presence of God. Not loud or demanding, but tender. A warmth that settles into your bones. A breath that fills your lungs with peace. A steady reminder that His Spirit is closer than your next inhale.
The world shouts. His presence comes as a holy whisper. And when we pause to notice, we realize the miracle: the God of the universe dwells here, within us.
The Path to Connecting with God’s Presence
Spiritual presence is not something we manufacture. It is the gift of Emmanuel—God with us. Yet, we do need to clear space in our lives to notice it.
Connection with Him is our natural state. And we get to begin with openness and remembering who we are. It can be easy to forget these in the hustle of the day to day. It’s a posture of heart more than a checklist of tasks.
Here are some ways I have learned to lean in:
Create a sacred space: A corner of your home with a candle, scripture, or something that reminds you of His love.
Breathe prayerfully: Inhale, “Be still.” Exhale, “And know.” Let each breath become communion.
Move gently: A walk in creation, barefoot on the grass, or stretching with gratitude for the gift of a body.
Journal with God: Write down what stirs in your spirit—your questions, your thanks, even your grief.
These are not chores. They are invitations. Simple doorways to the One who is already with you.

What Does God’s Presence Feel Like?
For me, His presence often comes like a soft embrace. Not visible, but undeniable.
It may look like:
A sudden calm in chaos.
A whisper of clarity when confusion rages.
A peace that defies logic.
Awe when the sunlight breaks through clouds.
A warmth in your chest, reminding you that you are beloved.
These are not random feelings. They are evidence of Emmanuel—God with us. Every time you notice, you’re stepping back into Eden..

Bringing Presence into Everyday Life
The Spirit does not wait for mountaintops or monasteries. He walks with you into kitchens, carpools, and boardrooms.
Here’s how you can weave presence into the ordinary:
Start your day with God’s love: Before your feet hit the floor, whisper, “Here I am, Lord. Be with me.”
Pause often: Take sacred pauses to breathe, pray, or simply notice beauty.
Give thanks: Gratitude is worship. Write down even the smallest blessings.
Listen deeply: To God’s voice, to your own heart, to others who cross your path.
Serve in love: Kindness opens us to His Spirit like nothing else.
Every act of awareness becomes worship. Every moment becomes sacred.

When Presence Feels Far
There are days when noise, stress, or grief make God feel distant. I know those days too. But even when we cannot feel Him, His Spirit is still near.
What helps me return?
Reducing distractions pull at my peace.
Surrounding myself with those who remind me of truth.
Choosing forgiveness over bitterness.
Praying: “Lord, open my eyes to see You here.”
Presence is not about perfection. It is about turning, again and again, toward the One who never leaves.
A Journey of Renewal
The more you notice His presence, the more your life shifts. Fear loosens its grip. Peace anchors deeper. Love flows freer.
This is not about earning God’s nearness. It is about remembering it. You were never separate. You are the temple, the garden, the dwelling place of His Spirit.
May you breathe deeply today, receiving His presence like the gift it is. May you find Eden in the ordinary. May your life become a living testimony that God is here, and love is real.
I encourage you to explore more about spiritual presence and how it can enrich your life. Let your experiences inspire you to live with greater intention and joy.
Thank you for walking this path with me. May your journey be filled with light and grace.
Nicholas
